eNotify/News You Choose
Communication is key to our relationships with families and the community. eNotify is the system that Fairfax County uses to give parents essential information they need to know regarding the county and Island Creek.
eNotify is the automatic enrollment service for parents of FCPS students and employees of the system. It draws contact information from the student information system and the employee databases. FCPS central offices and schools use eNotify for three types of messages: emergency, attendance, and outreach. It is important that parents keep their child’s emergency contact information up to date with the school. Contact information may also be updated online through weCare@School, a feature of FCPS 24-7 Learning (Blackboard).
“News You Choose” delivers information of a non-essential nature and is sent from the Island Creek office or PTA. Parents have the ability to opt in or out of these communications.
