Island Creek incorporates a Positive Behavior Approach to support our Crocs’ behavior. Island Creek implements Responsive Classroom protocols to include: Morning Meeting, Closing Circle, Interactive Modeling, and Teacher Language. During the 2022-2023 school year, the character traits for the “Crocs Creed” were updated with input opportunities from Island Creek staff, students, and families. Every month a character trait is highlighted and students who exhibit the character trait are Croc Stars and receive a certificate at the end of the month.

Additionally, Island Creek Crocs follow the schoolwide behavior expectations that are aligned with the Crocs Creed character traits. The expectations are linked here.
